Radical Acceptance

By Dr. Tara Brach

I got myself this book based on Dr. Chatterjee's podcast.   Dr. Brach discusses meditation, and how you can begin to heal from past traumas through accepting yourself as a whole.  The concept sounded a little cheesy as I began to read, but after sticking with it I'm happy I did.  She speaks clearly, and provides insights that really hit home.  This is a great book to begin making positive changes in your own life.

Tight Hip, Twisted Core:  The Key to Unresolved Pain

Christine Koth and Masha Pimas

This is a great followup book  to Built From Broken below.  This book is specifically about the Illiacus and the Psoas, and how those muscles affect so much in your body.  It discusses why the muscles are important, and how to manage tightness, irritation, and soreness within this muscle group.

This is another great book I recommend if you are attempting to stop the injury-reinjury cycle.

Built From Broken

Scott Hogan CPT, COES

This is a great book that was one that helped me recover from years of injury and re-injury.  It explains in detail different areas of injury, and provides example workouts, and manual manipulation techniques (using inexpensive tools).

I highly recommend this book if you are attempting to stop the injury-reinjury cycle.

Climbing Injuries Solved

By Dr. Lisa Erikson

I got this book for Christmas from my Loving Wife, and WOW is it a game changer.  I was constantly stiff and sore, and everything hurt all the time.  I had resigned myself to believing this was just "getting old".  I have implemented the techniques outlined in this book and have been amazed by how much different I feel.

I highly recommend this book if you have _ANY_ injuries.  The principals seem sound, and can be applied to more than climbing injuries.
